My name is Alec Tanner, I'm a cinematographer and camera operator based in Sydney, Australia. I have recently completed my Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
Having an interest in filmmaking from a young age, I have experience all throughout the camera and lighting departments. I've worked as a cinematographer on numerous short-form projects across various mediums, from fiction to advertising, including a short documentary chosen for distribution on SBS On Demand.
I aspire to tell stories that make audiences feel things. I love the power that cinematography has to make audiences feel like they're a part of the story. We as filmmakers have the power to help form memories, not just within our films, but the viewing experience as a whole, and that's something that I strive to achieve in everything I make.
